Biography

Born in 1954, Benoît Schlosberg shared his childhood between New York, Paris and Rome. He began learning music (guitar) at a very early age, notably with Alexandre Lagoya in Paris, and took dance lessons in the class of Jean Pierre Bonnefous. He continued his musical education with Angelo Ferraro in Rome. Back in Paris in 1972, he perfected his studies with Master Alberto Ponce at the Ecole Normale de Musique. He studied harmony with Jeanine Rueff. A laureate of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation, he was selected to participate in the "Pléïade" project directed by the composer Gabriel Yared. He is part of a generation of musicians who know how to mix the most diverse genres and it is with a concern for authenticity that he has always strived to unite in their common essence "popular" song and "classical" form.
He directed the Conservatories of Epinay sur Seine, Ville d'Avray as well as the Niedermeyer Conservatory of Issy-les-Moulineaux where he developed an educational project centered on artistic performance and the stage.

Artistic education and orchestral conducting
Benoît Schlosberg devoted 45 years of his professional life to artistic education, developing the idea that culture is a "weapon of mass construction" of the human being.
All the educational projects he has developed illustrate his constant desire to break down aesthetic barriers, to combine multiple skills and finally, to actively contribute, according to his own formula, to building the conservatories of the 21st century.
Among the many projects, we will remember the production of "Tommy", the rock opera by the Who, "Ecce Cor Meum", the oratorio by Paul Cartney produced at the Seine Musicale, but also a wide range of partnerships entered into with many institutions in the cultural world such as the Philippe Jaroussky Academy, the Réacteur d'Issy-les-Moulineaux or the Ensemble Court Circuit...
